Sheena is a fictional, jungle girl heroine. She possessed the ability to communicate with wild animals after having grown up with them since being orphaned in the jungle. She was fiercely proficient in fighting with knives, spears, and bows, and improvised with makeshift weapons.

Great writing style

The story is pretty good, but it's only 45 pages long (couldn't it have been packaged with another Sheena tale?), but the writing style is wonderful. Descriptive and smooth-flowing, the words belie the sad fact that the author was being paid a few cents per word to churn out this jungle adventure. It is amazingly well-written for pulp fiction, and for this reason alone (though it is quite entertaining even if it isn't great), I would recommend reading it. One final note: I first read this as "Killer's Kraal," downloaded from an online website. That version had a slight formatting issue (nothing major, but annoying), so I purchased this as my "keeper" copy.

Interesting but not enough

It was predictable but kept my interest most of the time and may of been better for me if I read Sheena's stories before
